Saturday flying

Well I went out to the sod farm for some more hanglider lessons early saturday morning. The wind was blowing around 5-10 out of the southeast. It was really cool to actually be able to just jog with the hanglider flying above me. I did some turns and flares. It was really sweet to see how easy the glider flies. After that that I took my paraglider out to Swan. I met the guys out there. I was a little late. They had already got 45 minutes in. I flew for about 30 min then the rain came. I landed and we waited it out. We must be crazy to stand out in the rain waitng to fly. After the rain stopped I fle for another 15 minutes. It was a nice day. Thanks to Blaine for helping me in the morning.

weekend fun

Last Saturday was a good day of flying. I took my first hanglider lesson early Saturday morning. I sure hope it gets easier. Ground handeling in no wind really sucks.  After that Bruce, Eddy and I all went to Barclay Bay and I got around a 1hour of flying in. Bruce got a good couple of flights plus about 30 min. of ground handling.  Eddy also had some good flights. After that Bruce and I went out to Melba. We met rob and clancy out there. I got another 15 minutes of flying. The wind was a little light so we went to Pump road. I then got another 10-15 mintutes there as well. I sank out and watched Clancy have fun before the guys came and picked me up. We decided to go back to melba. (It was on the way home.) When we got there clancy and rob both decided to fly. Clancy got a good 15minutes and Rob got a long sled ride.

It was a good day!

Sunday I went out with Andy and helped him fly his RC Airplane. Way to go Andy!

Barclay pictures

Here is a picture of Barclay bay. I fly this on my lunch hour. It is not a beginner site. Due to the fact it is only flyable when the water is down in Lucky Peak and if you sink out you are swimming. I’m not going to post it as a flying site.

Saturday flying. What rain?

Saturday it was raining at my house in the morning. I decided to go out to melba anyway to see if I could get some flying in. Chuck and I  got out there and the wind was good and there was no rain. I launched and got about 15 minutes in before it got to strong. When I landed it was going backwards. Chuck didn’t get off the ground. When I landed I called my buddy Wayne. Wayne, Blaine, and Chris showed later in the day and all had good flights. The wind never really got to scary and I was able to actually talk to the guys when they flew by. It was a good day to fly. It has been awhile since I have seen that many hanglider pilots in one spot much less at melba. It was just about like old times…… There are more pictures on the melba page.
