400-300 ft cliff line facing the East and Southeast.
Take the highway 45 south to Melba. When you reach the sign to turn to Melba stay on the highway. The road will kind of turn to the right and start to go into the canyon.  You will see a tree on the left side of the road and a dirt road. Take this road,(left) it will go straight south. follow this dirt road around the farmers field. The ridge faces the Southeast. you will see a wind sock at main launch. This launch is commonly used for hangliders and paragliders. Keep going on the road and drive out to the point, this is were the RC planes usually fly. The landing is rocky up close and not to bad the further you get back from the ridge. This ridge works best for a east to south east wind.
Melba is also a special place. You can intermingle with hanglider, and paraglider pilots. If you get out there and see a lonely hanglider pilot stop and see if they need some help launching. This is private property so please respect the land. You will see a main gravel road that splits the field, with a do not tresspass sign PLEASE NO NOT DRIVE ON IT! The landowner doesn’t want us driving on it. Please respect his wishes.

Here is a link to a current weather station that is only a couple of miles from melba. If the flag is moving the wind is blowing.
